In addition to preventing content from being available, I can also set time limits on not just their total screen time, but on any apps that are not educational. I can even put limits on just apps while setting their book limit to unlimited. I set their times for the day so that they don't have access before lunchtime and only until dinner time.

One/Two Day Delivery
As I said, this feature of Prime has really come through for us when we need something last minute. We are near Charlotte which allows a lot of items to be delivered within a day. I've had items delivered the same day and could even have items delivered in the middle of the night if I needed them to. With Prime, this is completely free! It is still exciting for me every time I check out and there isn't an extra shipping fee just for wanting it within 24 hours.

Prime Video
We are using this as I type this post! Prime Video offers so many different movies and TV Shows and categorizes them so well. I don't have to worry about the kids watching inappropriate videos when they are on their kids' profiles. They include shows that I loved when I was a kid such as Clifford and Barney, but they also include many popular videos like Daniel Tiger, Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer, and even Blippi. We are currently using it to watch a movie that shows what life was like in Siam before it changed to Thailand.

Prime Reading
Amazon has Prime reading the offers free books through Kindle! Do I need to point out the usefulness of free books for school? Not only do they have ebooks, but they also have magazines! Our kids love the BBC Wildlife magazine. I also enjoy the Women's health and cooking magazines. There are even books that you can read while listening to them! It is listed under Books with Audible Narration. This is especially helpful with kids who are not able to read or for kids who are able to absorb more of the book by both visual and audible learning.
Audible
Prime offers a 30 day free trial with Audible as well as 2 free books! Audible is so helpful for us as a family because it allows us to read beloved stories while we are driving or going on long trips. I can't tell you how excited my girls are when I start a book that is one of their favorite movies.
Now you know my secret to homeschooling, you can go out and be successful! It really is so useful throughout your homeschool journey and I don't think my kids would enjoy it as much without this amazing resource. Being able to play educational games, watch educational movies, read and listen to educational books, and get supplies quickly is vital to our school year.
